Crochet Burnt Out + Tattoos

So for the past week all I've done is sitting on my bum and crocheting granny squares nonstop. As I mentioned before, I find crocheting to be a relaxing way to fill my day, but lately I've been getting a teeny bit bored with it. Now I know what you're thinking. Why don't you take a break? Yeah, well I could do that, but then I would completely drop the project all together. Which, mind you, is not a good idea. I distracted myself from my secret music related embroidery project with crocheting. I don't want to distract myself from this new project that I'm really excited about.

I've started it and now I need to finish it. Here's what I have now twenty five granny squares and I just need about seventy five more to get the size I want.

I must admit that Bryan is pretty jealous of this new afghan I'm making. He actually wants it for himself, but it's for me. I think I would be okay with sharing it with him, though once it's done I don't even know if I'm going to allow it to be used. He has his beautiful blanket that his grandmother crocheted for him that he received last winter. It's my go-to blanket whenever I visit him, but he can have it all himself when I finish mine. Fair enough?

Other than crocheting, I've been thinking about tattoos. Ever since I was middle school age I wanted tattoos. Of course over the years my ideas of what I want have changed, and thank goodness. I sort of had some dumb tattoo ideas. I don't know if I'll ever work up the courage to permanently alter my body, but I have a couple ideas that I think I really should get because they have meaning to me. Here are some photos of tattoos that I adore and inspire me that I would love to share with you.

1. Black birds, 2. flint tattoo close, 3. Gildas & Clermont, 4. Tattoo #2, 5. Untitled, 6. tattoo7. Untitled, 8. Untitled, 9. Untitled.

  1. what are the ideas you have in mind currently for the tattoos?
I would love one but have been strongly warned against one by my partner. hehe though my design I like currently is a cresent moon with an acorn in the centre. If I do however sitck with this idea I'm allowed it hehe

  2. I definitely want to get a flock of birds on my back. Nothing big. It's supposed to be like a symbol of my independence when I'm not living with my parental units anymore and as a little ode to one of my favourite bands. I want a tree, as well, on my hip. Either a tree like from the movie My Neighbor Totoro (and maybe have the totoros in it!) or like the tree from The Giving Tree.

I can keep going... there are probably about 5 more ideas I want. Haha... oh I would get them all if I weren't so afraid and had the money.
